Steph Whitehouse is a student counsellor, completing her studies at Massey University. She offers a calm, compassionate space where people can speak freely without pressure or expectation.
Steph’s approach is grounded in trauma‑informed practice, narrative therapy with a person-centred approach, cultural safety, and deep respect for each person’s journey. She works in ways that uphold mana, dignity, and emotional safety for each client. Her practice honours the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, acknowledging the importance of whakapapa, culture, language, and spirituality as essential parts of wellbeing.
With a background in early childhood, Steph brings warmth, steadiness, and clarity to her sessions. She understands the courage it takes to reach out for support. Her counselling style is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to each client’s needs.
