Masha Broadbent

I am a third year counselling student of BHS program with AUT. My passion has always been working with people, and my core strength lies in creating a supportive and caring environment where my clients can experience safety and understanding. I follow a person-centered approach and I am a believer that people already have the answers to their challenges; my role is to ask the right questions to guide them in discovering their own solutions. In my efforts to assist my clients in their quest for self-discovery, I incorporate a variety of counselling techniques, including sand tray and play therapies, as well as relational, personal and narrative therapies.

I have provided support to individuals dealing with anxiety disorders, ADHD, bullying issues, and low self-esteem, mainly focusing on children in primary schools.

Outside of my counselling work, I find enjoyment in activities such as walking with my dog, reading, exercising, and playing the violin.
