Rachel Dasler

 
 

Rachel holds full membership with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, MNZAC, and is an NZAC approved Supervisor. Rachel has experience working with individuals (including children and adolescents), couples, and families, and her counselling is underpinned by a person-centered modality, with a focus on nurturing connection to self and others, to bring about, and sustain, supportive change.  

Rachel has trained in Gottman Couples counselling, Level 1 and 2, and continues her training and learning in couples work in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Rachel also holds a special interest in working systemically with clients who are facing challenges around body image, self-worth, and eating behaviours, and additionally, provides therapeutic support to parents/carers/siblings/friends, while they see someone they care about, experiencing eating challenges. 

Rachel has enjoyed time living in the UK for 10 years, and Asia for 9 years. Most recently, Rachel worked as the Clinical Team Leader at a local counselling organisation, where she was responsible for supervising counselling staff, in conjunction with providing counselling services to support people who might be struggling with relationships, life transitions, body image and eating challenges, chronic health concerns, anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, post-natal issues, and parenting. Prior to becoming an NZAC Counsellor and Supervisor, Rachel was a social work practitioner and trainer, working in crisis intervention, with children and families.
